Win a Trip to Gamescom With Call of Duty: Ghosts

Gamescom opens to the public in Cologne, Germany on August 22nd, and we've teamed up with Activision to offer Call of Duty fans who have pre-ordered Ghosts with GAME the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the show.

Not only will you get flown out to Germany from a UK airport and two nights at a swanky hotel for you and a friend, but you'll also get access to the world's largest consumer games show.

Sounds pretty good right?

How To Enter

The competition is open now and we'll be selecting two winners - who'll each bag a trip to Gamescom for themselves and a friend - on Monday, August 12th. To enter, you need to submit a 15-second Black Ops II Killfeed video showcasing your most spectacular and creative kill, using the Ghosts Gun Camo that you unlock by pre-ordering Call of Duty: Ghosts with GAME.

If you've already pre-ordered and unlocked the Ghosts Camo, then make sure you have it locked and loaded for your Killfeed videos.

Here's a step-by-step guide to how to do get involved...

  • Grab your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Xbox 360 or PS3)
  • Make sure you've unlocked the Ghosts Gun Camo by pre-ordering Call of Duty: Ghosts from GAME.
  • Ensure you have linked your YouTube account in-game in the Options Menu - if you haven't, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
  • Play Call of Duty: Black Ops II until you've pulled off the spectacular kill you'd like to submit.
  • From the Online Multiplayer menu, go to Theatre and select the match where you pulled off your kill from the list of Recent Games. (A good tip here is when you finish a match you want to find again in theatre, press X or Square in the Post-Match screen to bookmark that game with a star to make it easier to locate in future.)
  • Watch the match back and find the moment you want to capture. Once you have it, press the Record button shown on the on-screen UI and capture your clip. Remember to keep the view in first person from your own perspective, and ensure the clip is under 15 seconds long.
  • Once you finish the recording, choose “Autoname and Save Clip”. Press start and choose End Film - you’ll be prompted to save your edited film. Name the clip with your gamertag followed by the hashtag #IGNKillFeedComp save it, and then End the Film.
  • Once back in the Theatre menu, scroll down in the Select Film menu to Edited Films, and select your competition entry. From here, simply choose Render Video in the Theatre Mode menu, which will automatically start a process of uploading the clip to YouTube. Once completed, keep an eye on your YouTube account for the video to appear.

That's it. Once you've submitted your video, that's all you need to do! We'll be monitoring the hashtag on YouTube and reviewing the submitted entries to select the winners which will be announced on Monday.

Here's a few little bits of smallprint you need to know before you get started...

  • Video Submissions must not exceed 15 seconds in length.
  • Video Submissions must be wholly original, and cannot infringe upon or otherwise violate any right of any third party.
  • Each party must be legal owner of the Video submission and no party other than entrant may have any right, title or interest in or to the Video submissions or the entry will be deemed void.
  • All Video submissions containing content that, in the Promoter’s sole judgment, is offensive or inappropriate will be deemed ineligible for the Contest and not considered in the judging.
  • Video Submissions must be from first-person perspective throughout and utilising the Ghost weapon camouflage and/or reticules.

Competition entrants must be UK residents over the age of 18, with a valid passport, and must be willing and able to travel between Tuesday, August 20th and Thursday August 22nd.

Full terms and conditions can be found on the next page.
